- Alexandra Wrage has resigned from the FIFA IGC in protest, she has not yet made a public statement but has spoken to several reporters;
- Strangely, Mark Pieth, FIFA IGC chair, attempted to spin Wrange's resignation as being due to the time commitments of the role rather than her frustration with the process. Wrage rejected this characterization;
- In the process Pieth made news by announcing that the IGC (minus Wrage) had unanimously agreed to continue working into 2014, apparently contradicting Sepp Blatter's view of the situation;
- Sunil Gulati, who last Friday was elected to the FIFA Executive Committee as a representative from CONCACAF, finds himself in the interesting position of sitting on the IGC and developing recommendations that will be delivered to the ExCo in May (or before), where he will be a recipient of them. Independent?;
- Gulati is the second of the original 12 members of the IGC to move on to the ExCo. Lydia Nsekera resigned from the IGC last year upon joining the Executive Committee. Gulati presumably will step down from the IGC, but I have not seen that announced.
